Hey Hey Better Day

Good news today that blood work is looking better now that the Prograf has been tamed! Also a scope of her new small bowel yesterday showed it to look very healthy and functioning. Yeah! Of all the new organs a bowel is the most sensitive. Pancreas still in check...no return of diabetic issues. Stomach and colon are functioning as well as can be expected at this point. As Dr. V says "her new engine is running"...wahoooo! Tomorrow she will have to have another central line put in because her jtube is stopped up, and it's too soon to replace it into a new organ (have to wait two more weeks). Once the jtube is replaced she can return to a higher rate of tube feedings, instead of the dreaded TPN. She's continuing to eat the real stuff, but not enough to support the "new engine" just yet.
