More of the same
The doctors have decided that Sara should get another transplant, but cannot list her until her intestinal infections are cleared. Progress on the infection continues to be very slow. Meanwhile, the side effects from the organ rejection and drug treatments continue to be a big problem, with some days better than others. We are midway through a marathon. There are occasional good moments, and we savor each one when it occurs. The experience reminds us constantly that every day of good health and joy is a gift, and we should never take even a single moment for granted. We sincerely appreciate your kind words of encouragement and prayers on Sara’s behalf. They make a real difference to Sara and to our family…m2

Dear Sara and Family,
ReplyDeleteWe continue to pray for you many times a day - for you to have those "good" moments daily, and for even more miracles to occur, both large and small. We check the site very often and appreciate any information. Minnesota and Wisconsin are sending much love and hope to you, and intense prayers to God for healing and complete recovery for our wonderful Sara.
I am simultaneously saddened, humbled, inspired, and angered by this update on Sara's condition. Sara - you probably don't even remember me, but I certainly remember you and admire your courage, tenacity, faith, and optimism more than you could EVER know. You deserve nothing but good things. You deserve a miracle. I hope you can somehow, some way feel the love and support coming from down here in Texas. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
