Patiently Waiting

Yes, patience...there's really no choice! The last two weeks have been somewhat uneventful other than the j/g tube that continues to give Sara tremendous grief and pain. On Friday it was determined, finally, that the tube is no longer working due to the positioning of it in her new anatomy. Without supplemental tube feedings into her intestine for the last week, she's become dehydrated. So, back to the transplant floor for hydration on Friday and possible tube replacement on Monday pending the dr.'s schedule. You never know when a new transplant patient is going to take "cuts"! Sara's incredible determination is serving her well. Watching her drink cups and cups of liquids and eating small meals is truly a miracle compared to pre-transplant. Once Sara takes her blog back you can be sure the details will be much more elaborate and informative. As always...words can't express our thanks to all of you who send your positive energy and prayers to us each day...Sheri
