Face Painting the Sidewalk
Dearest friends, sorry for "no news". I tend to wait until a significant event these days to post. Sara came home from the hospital on Wed. after a two week stay. Her surgery revealed scar tissue issues (bowel sticking to bowel) and of course the ever lingering issue with her j-tube (feeding tube in her bowel). We're hopeful that all is taken care of, and now we're just waiting for the HUGE incision to heal. Like last time, healing is very slow due to the poor condition of her skin with the repeated surgeries. It was reopened, washed (picture that), and restitched with what looks like rope. Fingers are crossed that all of this will do it, especially since we're now taking care of each other. I tripped on an uneven sidewalk yesterday, bounced my head, broke my nose, slit skin all over my face, knees and hands, and passed out to find myself in an ambulance. Cool, huh! After a few stitches, cat scans, and x-rays I got myself a cab and went back to Sara. All in a day's work! My face looks like a prize fighter's and hurts like h___, but oh well! Regards to all of you who keep us positive and hopeful...Sheri
