Just a quick note that there is not yet a decision by the doctors on the next step. The options are limited. They are treating the infection by reducing the immunosuppression and adding some other drugs, and trying to balance that with the rejection. Sara is very sick...m2
... Just after posting this update, the doctors came in and scoped Sara's small bowel through her ostemy. Not encouraging. Not a single villi in sight. The doctor characterized it as severe rejection. He is continuing to try to treat both the infection and the rejection a little longer and see what happens.
